Paul Drabek of the Negative-G web site made us aware that there was a simulation software program called NoLimits (tm) that could be used to re-create, digitally, any roller coaster if provided with specific details and measurements for programming.
We gave it a try and were amazed at his results.... If you rode the coaster at Riverview as many times as we did and have some recollections of what it was like, you will be especially impressed with the digital re-creation.
You will need Windows Media Player to view the clip. It can be downloaded here if you don't already have it:
Download Media Player
Select the player matching your internet connection below to view the short videos of the results...and Turn On Your Speakers.
Video I, Sky view of Coaster running
For Cable/DSL connections
Allow some time for clip to load after clicking on the PLAY arrow on Player (up to a minute)....then click PLAY arrow again if necessary. This is a very large file.
Having trouble viewing? You can also watch the Sky View clip on YouTube(tm) taken from the Riverview II Documentary by clicking this link.
